We considered a point source identification problem from observation data. We aim to identify the unknown source number and locations along with unknown strengths. We show that if theregularization parameter is chosen properly, the numerical procedures will converge to a sequence of moment equations involving our target unknowns. A reconstruction scheme is proposed on the basis of the developed theoretical results.
